Social Goals
Recently, I did some research on the health of our planet and was honestly shocked to see how our bad the health of this planet really is. I watched multiple videos which told the hard truth that we are actively killing our planet. I decided that I was going to be active in trying to make a change. I created a website where I could sell my art - art pieces connecting the human footprint on nature - to collect money to donate to the World Wide Fund for Nature (WWF).
I also set a goal for myself to bring about a change in the community. There are so many apartment complexes, including mine, that do not have any recycling options. With a campus presence of over 50,000 students, it shocked me that these housing complexes did not recycle. There is so much plastic produced and improperly discarded, and a large chunk of it ends up in the oceans.
Below, I created a video to raise awareness about the effects us humans have on our planet as well what we are doing to the other living beings that reside on our planet. Along with that, I created a petition that calls for recycling options in Park West, one of the largest housing complexes, not only in Texas but in the nation. You can read more about that through the link below. You can help the community as well as the planet as a whole by signing the petition as well!
